ABOUT
Helping Kids Round First,
a nonprofit located in Flandreau South Dakota, has been working in Nicaragua since 2009. Work has included providing baseball and hospital equipment, as well as assisting with farming technology and with several other efforts. Nicaragua is the second poorest country in Central America with an average daily income of about $2.
Kids Against Hunger,
located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has been providing food nationally and internationally for many years preparing and shipping over 1,000,000 meals a year. These two organizations have joined together to provide 300,000 meals a year to Nicaragua.
Rotary Club of Madison,
is part of a worldwide organization with over 1.4 million members that participate in more than 46,000 clubs. They’re making an impact not only here at home but also around the world. As one of the 10 largest clubs within Rotary International, Rotary Club of Madison offers its members the opportunity to expand business and social networks, to join together with some of the most active local leaders to exchange ideas and foster understanding, and to serve locally or globally. They are joining Kids against Hunger and Helping Kids Round First to sponsor this year’s Madison Food pack.
The Madison Pack event will be one of the packs that will help meet the goal.
We invite churches, civic organizations, school groups, and businesses to sign up a team or teams to help pack. Shifts are two hours long and can be great team building or team competition within your group.
