The Rural Electric Economic Development (REED) Fund was established in 1996 and is a non-profit corporation that’s owned and governed by many East River member cooperatives serving South Dakota and western Minnesota.
Over the past 29 years, the revolving loan fund has been involved in more than 420 projects and has invested more than $130 million in rural areas. REED assists projects that promote growth and contribute to job, business and wealth creation, as well as improve the infrastructure, community facilities, services and economic base of rural areas.
These projects are helping to pave the road to new opportunities for people and communities in East River’s service territory.
